The Sort Worksheet
A one-page exercise you can print or fill in on screen. Stop taking everything personally.
How to use it
Fill in each part. It’s fine if one bin stays nearly empty.
What's on the page
- The moment (what happened, camera facts only)
- The feeling I noticed
- The story I told
- MINE (what I did, and what I can fix)
- THEIRS (their mood, day, stress, habits, history)
- SHARED (mix-ups, unclear plans, systems, patterns between us)
- One other explanation that doesn’t put me at the center
Plus a checklist, including:
- I put at least one real item in a bin other than Mine.
- If something real belongs in Mine, I named it plainly.
This page comes from That Wasn't About Me.
The book walks through when to use it, with examples. It's from Chapter 7.
