My Workload Reality Check Worksheet
A one-page exercise you can print or fill in on screen. Stop people pleasing, one small, kind no at a time.
How to use it
List what’s on your plate right now, then look at what you've said yes to lately.
What's on the page
- My core work this month (the projects I'll be judged on)
- Extras I’ve said yes to in the last two weeks
- Rough hours those extras took
- Office chores I’ve become the default for
- The request I’m most likely to get this week
- My version of the priority question for my manager
- My kind, short no for a coworker
- My after-hours rule (when I stop answering, and how I reply the next morning)
Plus a checklist, including:
- I could hand one of these off with a short guide or a rotation.

The book walks through when to use it, with examples. It's from Chapter 8.
